Windows Identity Foundation

Synopsis: Windows Identity Foundation is Microsoft's new framework for incorporating claims-based identity into managed applications. Andy Hopper will give us two presentations: a short introduction to WIF and why you might want to use it in your applications, and a longer walkthrough showing how a developer can take their current Enterprise applications and move them to the cloud by leveraging Azure, WIF and Active Directory Federation Services 2.0.

About the Speaker: Andy Hopper is a Senior Architect with Wintellect and has been developing software for the Windows platform for over 15 years. Andy specializes in enterprise and Internet application architectures and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
