Windows Phone Metro: Why Design Matters
Synopsis: Windows Phone is more than a technology. It is also a philosophical shift for Microsoft from concentrating on functionality to concentrating on user experience. "Metro" is the design grammar used in Windows Phone. Think of it as a style guide – but it is much, much more. It is a new way of thinking about building software. In this presentation, we will go over the design grammar of Windows Phone 7 and use it as a teaching opportunity about design concepts that will help you build more interesting applications in any technology.
